Financial Support
Giving a charitable contribution will support activities of MMCC. Your contribution will help assure that assistance and services are available for the people we serve. To donate any amount, please click here.
Household Items
Clothing, furniture, and a myriad of household items are always needed as new families arrive for resettlement with little more than a single bag each. The US State Department, which oversees refugee resettlement nationwide has published a list of items that should be provided for each home. You can view that list here.

Volunteer
Join a Volunteer Support Team
MMCC’s Volunteer Support Teams assist local immigrants in navigating U.S. life and culture. We strive to help our new neighbors meet basic needs, access essential services, find social supports, and experience a warm welcome to our shared community.
Volunteer Support Team activities are as varied as the needs of those we accompany. A miscellaneous list includes:
- Transportation to appointments.
- Finding furniture for apartments.
- Helping celebrate birthdays for kids of Volunteer Support Team families.
- Summer recreational outings.
- Assisting with applications for General Assistance, Medicaid, Reduced-cost healthcare
- Help with translation.
- Assisting in a winter clothing drive.
- Fundraising for family emergencies.
- Linking to services related to housing, legal needs, healthcare, domestic violence, immigration, education, after-school programs.

Join a Committee
MMCC has several committees that support our goals and mission. New members are welcome to join these committees. To get involved, it’s as easy as filling out the Volunteer intake form here.

Attend an Event
Unfortunately, during Covid times MMCC’s events had to move on-line. Some, such as our very popular Breaking Bread with Our Neighbors events and our bi-annual Economic Development Conference are temporarily on hold until we can gather again safely. In the meantime, you can join us on Zoom for:
- Multicultural Community Forums
- Workshops for Educators
- Book Discussion Groups
Serve on the Board of Directors
MMCC has an active hands-on Board of Directors with membership representing different cultures and services in the region including education, healthcare, faith, and economic development to name a few. Nominations to the Board are welcome – we prefer that Board members initially join an MMCC committee before nomination to the Board.
